Day 2 Of Blogging (:

Hey there everyone. Happy Monday! Hope you have a great day to start the week! Anyway, all that is on my mind right now is the Teen Choice Awards last night! I know, I'm a "typical teenage girl", but whatever! (: So a few highlights from last night for me?

1. Ashton Kutcher singing Teenage Dream
2. Taylor Lautner in all his glory
3. Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhaulder, and Nina Dobrev!
4. Pauly D winning Choice Reality Star: Male
5. Selena Gomez and OneRepublic singing
6. Sean Kingston coming back! I'm so glad that he's all better from his jetski accident.
7. Two Words. Demi. Lovato. I am SO proud of her and all that she has done in the past year! Love definitely is louder than the pressure to be perfect! She has accomplished so much and overcame so many things at the same time too! She is such an inspiration to me, and I absolutely LOVE her song "Skyscraper". I usually don't really like her music, but it really made me think and I have just fallen in love with that song!
8. HARRY POTTER!!! Beat out Twilight for Choice Liplock and overall best movie of the summer! Woo Hoo! Not to seem like a total weirdo, but I definitely geek out about Harry Potter, and I can't believe it's all over. :( But The past ten years have been awesome watching the movies :D

I also want to talk about a few songs I got on iTunes last night. I usually have stuck to rock and some pop, but I have discovered a whole new world of music! I now have a range of rock, to pop, to hip hop, to rap, to accoustic and jazz! So here are the songs that I abolutely love now!

... "What's Left Of Me" by Nick Lachey: I never thought much of Nick Lachey, but I watched "Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding" on TLC a few weeks ago, and I right away started to love them as a couple and I looked into his music, and I came across this song!
... "Monster" by Paramore: Not much to say! I've always loved Paramore, and this is their new single (:
... "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova from Once: I first heard a accopella version of this on "Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding" special, and I looked it up just like Nick Lachey's song up there ^^. I automatically was hooked to this song! It is just SO amazing, and it is just a beautiful song.
..."If You Want Me" by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova from Once: It's pretty simple. I came across this song when I was looking for "Falling Slowly", and it has haunted me ever since. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l song. (:
... "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones: GREAT song! It's romantic jazz, and I love it. I've heard it before, and I must have forgotten it, and then I found it while listening to "A Kiss to Build A Dream On" by Louis Armstrong (great song too!).

So, now that you've gotten to know how much of a dorky teenage girl I am, I gotta go!

Survive -- To Endure Or Live Through

Surviving. Everybody has to survive through something. And in my case, I'm starting high school in 11 days... and I am scared out of my mind. All the movies that say high school was hell, the relatives who say they "barely made it through those years", and the other people who say that high school was there glory years. I have no idea what to think, and it's getting to me.
The main reason it's so scary, is that I'm leaving an Elementary/Middle School where I've known my closest friends for about 8 years. And now, I'm moving on to a school that none of my friends are going to, and I'm starting out fresh. It's a school a lot bigger than my last school, and I won't have the support of any of my "friends" who were going to "hang out with me all summer", and "talk to me as much as they could". and most IMPORTANTLY, "not forget me". Well, I've ran into people, and they have said, "Oh, Michaela! I didn't think I was EVER going to see you again! Too bad I probably won't see you ever again after today." And you know what? She has supposedly been my best friend for 8 years. EIGHT years! But whatever. Instead on focusing on used-to-be-friends, I am going to put my all into high school.
